《超级马里奥2》是1986年任天堂发布的一款FC磁碟系统的动作游戏。马里奥和路易基拯救了桃子公主，开始了一个新的冒险，以平定蘑菇王国。在此款游戏中，马里奥比较稳定易于操作，而路易基可以跳得更高，但行走中稍微滑。两个具有不同特点的角色需要通过玩家利用特点来通过关卡，玩家可以享受与一代有所不同的冒险。游戏中增加了一些音效，诸如紧急减速、弹簧跳跃等等，并且增加了一个所有人都非常有印象的道具——毒蘑菇，凡是没看过说明书没听过介绍的人都会以为这是原版蘑菇换了一种画法的样子，结果惨死当场还落个摸不着头脑。
